Release of Sapphire 300B Mono-Block Amplifier Delayed

Ottawa, Canada, May 4, 2004 — Due to supply chain delays, the full release of the Sapphire 300B mono-block amplifier has been pushed back. 6 units have been produced, but have either been sold or sent out for review. The remainder of the production run is being held up by a custom part order with a lead time of up to 10 weeks. We are in the process of trying to expedite its delivery. Once the part arrives it won't take long to get them built, since all sub assemblies are complete. Our apologies go to all those who have inquired about the Sapphire.

Sapphire 300B mono-block amplifier to be released April 15

Ottawa, Canada, March 1, 2004 — Wyetech Labs is scheduled to release on or about April 15th, a new Sapphire 300B single ended 18 watt mono-block amplifier to it's stable of products. It will use the Full Music TJ300B mesh plate premium gold tube in the output stage with each tube operating in self-biased mode.

Using two 300B's per channel to obtain a purity of sound, the Sapphire is rich in harmonic nuance and texture that will bring out the best that this tube has to offer.

Powerful bass, an attribute reviewers have consistently noted in all our amplifiers, will surprise those followers of the 300B cult who hear our new Sapphire. Those who are aware of the 300B's glorious midrange will now be able to hear this midrange purity extended to the lower and upper registers to give a truly full-bandwidth musicality that will amaze all lovers of this vintage tube.

The Sapphire is a class "A" performer, capable of driving most speakers of medium efficiency, from 2 Ohms and up, that will even surprise some speaker companies who upon listening, will find new attributes they weren't previously aware of in their speakers.

Pearl Line Stage Now in Production

Ottawa, Canada, September 30, 2003 — Our goal was to duplicate the sound of the Opal in a one box configuration. We have come so close that the difference can only be heard by straining one's ear in comparative listening and them only with the highest all around matching components. To come so close while reducing the cost by one third represents a monumental achievement. All this was accomplished while maintaining our high standards of parts and construction. This superbly crafted linestage also comes with a 20 year extended warranty on parts and labour.

Pearl Line Stage to be in Production and Available for Sale in Fall/2003

Ottawa, Canada, May 23, 2003 — Wyetech Labs is pleased to announce the development of the PEARL line stage preamplifier, one that is as close to an Opal as one can get. This high speed, ultra wide bandwidth line stage follows in the tradition of the Opal, delivering exceptional sound quality with low distortion and ultra linearity. The Pearl uses Shallco precision stepped selector and balance controls, the same type as found in the Opal, and has a high quality ELMA 24 position stepped volume control that maintains a channel balance within 0.05 dB's. Implementing three low noise military specification NOS dual triode 6SN7WGTA vacuum tubes without any use of feedback, this preamplifier is compatible with all amplifiers. Calibrated switch settings allow precise control over volume and balance settings. The inputs are wired with coax from the RCA jacks to the Shallco selector switch in the same way the Opal is wired.

Coral Line Stage Now in Production and Available for Sale Starting November 25, 2002.

Ottawa, Canada, November 10, 2002 — Wyetech Labs is pleased to announce the premier Coral line stage preamplifer, one that sets a new benchmark in price and performance!

This high speed, ultra wide bandwidth line stage follows in the tradition of the Opal and Jade, delivering exceptional sound quality with low distortion and ultra linearity. The Coral uses the same precision stepped volume and balance controls found in the Jade, allowing precise settings and functions not seen before in a moderately priced preamflifier. Implementing three low noise military specification NOS dual triode vacuum tubes without the use of feedback, this preamflifier is compatible with both solid state and tube amplifiers. Calibrated switch settings allow precise control over all volume and balance settings. The inputs use relay switching located next to RCA jacks to keep the signal path as short as possible. Internal jumpers allow for high gain [12.5 db] or low gain [4.5 db] overall operation.

The Coral preamplifier will be available for sale on November 25, 2002.

NEW WEST COAST FRANCHISE

Ottawa, Canada, August 3, 2002 — Wyetech Labs is pleased to welcome Brian Ackerman at Artistic Audio as a full Franchise Operator for all of our products. CORAL LINESTAGE development process ends with production to commence after testing and evaluation procedures are completed.

Ottawa, Canada, April 20, 2002 — Wyetech Labs has completed development of a new high speed, ultra wide bandwidth line stage that follows in the tradition of the Opal and Jade to bring exceptional value in a moderately priced unit. It will use 3 low noise military specification NOS vacuum tubes void of feedback in a grounded grid configuration. The premium glass epoxy printed circuit boards will have silk screening and masking on two sides to protect circuit foil while ensuring enhanced reliability and extended durability. Delayed power sequencing is used to extend tube life and universal input power is switch selectable. Stepped switches are used for selector, balance and volume control using precision 1% metal film resistors to ensure perfect channel balance and tracking. This is far superior over the traditional use of ALPS or NOBLE potentiometers that are usually found in competing models. All input switching is via on board relays located in proximity with the input RCA connectors. Very low output impedance cathode followers capable of driving long cable runs. Excellent for driving tube or solid state amplifiers.
